Ophthalmologist Dr. Debra-Meghan Sanft shares a basic overview of the causes, risk factors, and treatments associated with an array of ocular emergencies, including corneal ulcers, acute angle closure glaucoma, vascular occlusion, giant cell arteritis, retinal tears and detachment, and ocular trauma.
About the Guest:

Dr. Debra-Meghan Sanft completed her residency in ophthalmology at McGill. During her training, she was presented with the Sean Murphy Award and the Leonard Ellen Ocular Pathology award for excellence in research, as well as winning the first prize at McGill Ophthalmology Research Day. Dr. Sanft has published numerous papers and presented her research at national and international conferences. She is now a comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Lachine Campus of the MUHC. She takes pride in having a warm and compassionate approach to eye health that allows patients to leave feeling comforted, informed and well cared for.
