Dr. Sudha Nallasamy, Assistant Professor at Keck School of Medicine of USC and Pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, gives a detailed overview of strabismus, including why early diagnosis is critical. Dr. Nallasamy further describes her recent publication that highlights the reproducibility of clinical findings and management plans using telemedicine in a pediatric ophthalmology setting.

Dr. Sudha Nallasamy has been a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismus Surgeon at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles since 2012. She completed medical school at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, residency at Scheie Eye Institute/ University of Pennsylvania, and fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her first academic position was at Kellogg Eye Center, University of Michigan. She has been Director of the Resident Rotation in Pediatric Ophthalmology for many years and is creating a professional video series, “All Eyes Here”, on the evaluation and management of common strabismus diagnoses. Her primary area of research is real-time telemedicine for pediatric ophthalmology examinations to improve access for underserved populations.
